CraftingPanda, our subsidiary brand, has a new purpose. As of this month, craftingpanda.com is a dedicated game studio, building clean, quality games for kids and young adults. The site has been rebuilt from the ground up and seven titles are already available. This is the story of how a small 3D studio arrived here.
It started with 3D
CraftingPanda began as a 3D modelling studio. A new studio with no advertising budget has one honest way to introduce itself: make things, and show them. So that became the marketing strategy. Over a period of months, the team released dozens of ASMR 3D animations on YouTube and TikTok, alongside a number of serious web-based projects.
Those months were more than promotion. Every short animation was practice in modelling, lighting, motion and sound, and in the discipline of finishing a piece and releasing it. They are the same skills a game is made of.
What we noticed along the way
Spending that much time on the platforms where young audiences gather, we kept seeing the same thing: there is a real shortage of quality content for kids and young adults.
Gaming platforms are crowded with low-quality games carrying advertising that is simply not appropriate for the children playing them. Many of these games are not designed around play at all. They are designed around interruption, built to earn a few cents from every tap, and it is young minds that pay the price.
We believe a child’s attention is worth far more than a few cents of ad revenue. Once we had seen the problem clearly, we could not leave it alone.
The idea: a clean game studio
So we asked a simple question: what would a clean game studio look like? One that a parent can trust without reading the small print, and that a young player can enjoy without being sold to?
That question became CraftingPanda Game Studio. For us, clean means:
- No inappropriate advertising. Our Windows titles carry no ads at all.
- Honest pricing. Our Windows titles are either free or a single one-time purchase. There are no subscriptions.
- Privacy by default. Our Windows titles need no account, collect no data, and play without an internet connection.
- Quality over quantity. Worlds that are finished and cared for, made to be explored at a child’s own pace.
Our focus, as always, is not on making money. It is on providing healthy, quality content. The first question we ask of every game is not what it could earn, but whether we would be glad to hand it to our own children.
Small, private and independent
Like BackendSide, CraftingPanda is a private studio. There is no big investment behind it and no big capital. There is just a small, dedicated team.
We see that as a strength. With no outside investors to satisfy, nobody is asking us to add one more advert or one more pop-up to improve a quarterly figure. We answer to the people who play our games, and to the parents who trust us with their children’s time.
Where CraftingPanda stands today
The studio’s games are distributed on the Microsoft Store and on Roblox. Every game has its own page on the new site, with screenshots, details and a full changelog, so you can see exactly what you are getting before you install anything.

Nothing changes at BackendSide. We continue to build the software for Windows, Linux and Android that you know us for. CraftingPanda now carries the same values into a different world: build it carefully, price it honestly, respect the person on the other side of the screen.
