Version 1.2
Latest October 2026A new post editor, and Bloggie Pro.
The editor
- Posts are edited as WordPress blocks with real formatting — bold, italic, strikethrough, links and inline code — instead of raw HTML or markdown. Paragraphs, headings (H2–H4), bulleted and numbered lists, quotes, code and separators can be added, moved, changed and deleted.
- Blocks the app can’t edit (embeds, galleries, tables, columns, buttons, custom HTML…) appear as locked “edit on the web” cards and are saved back exactly as they were. Posts edited in the app still open cleanly in the WordPress block editor; classic-editor posts stay classic.
- Typing shortcuts:
##heading,-list,1.numbered list,>quote. - Undo and redo, word count and reading time.
Post settings and images
- Post settings: featured image, categories (with “new category”), tags (suggestions and new tags), excerpt, slug, and visibility — public, private or password-protected.
- Images: pick several at once, see upload progress, add captions and alt text. Images added offline are kept on the phone and uploaded before the post syncs; an image the blog rejects is removed instead of being published broken.
Never lose an edit
- Autosave: unsaved edits are kept every few seconds and offered for restore after the app is closed or crashes. Leaving with unsaved changes asks to save, update or discard.
- Edit conflicts: if a post changed on the web while edits were waiting to sync, the app asks whether to keep your version, the blog’s version, or save yours as a copy, instead of overwriting. Such posts are marked “Edited on the web” in lists.
Preview and sharing
- Preview inside the app, plus “View on blog” / “Preview on blog” in a browser tab.
- Share to Bloggie: text, links and photos shared from other apps start a new post, with a blog picker when there are several blogs.
Bloggie Pro
- Bloggie Pro, prepaid: 1 month or 1 year, no automatic renewal. The Pro screen shows Google Play’s local prices and the yearly saving, with “Add time” top-ups, restore purchase and a link to Play subscriptions. Pro keeps working offline for up to 7 days without reaching Play, and is re-checked whenever the app opens.
- The free version manages one blog (the demo doesn’t count); adding another opens the Pro screen. Users who already have more keep them.
- Pro features: scheduled publishing (date and time picker), revision history (load an earlier version into the editor), saved snippets (per blog, on the phone) and image galleries (existing WordPress galleries can be edited too).
- Reminders 3 days and 1 day before prepaid Pro runs out — a notification and a card on the blogs home — since prepaid plans don’t renew.
Changed
- Demo blog posts are written as WordPress blocks, with a sample image, categories and tags, so they open cleanly in the new editor.
- Your blogs, posts and unsynced changes are kept when the app updates.
- Post excerpts in lists come from the first text block, not raw markup.
